The new Hyundai Santro will rival the
likes of Maruti Celerio, Renault Kwid, and Tata Tiago
Hyundai has launched the brand
new third generation Santro in India. Available with a petrol engine mated to
either a manual or AMT gearbox and a CNG option, which is available only with a
manual gearbox, the Santro targets a large section of the urban hatchback
buying audience. The Hyundai Santro gets a 1.1-litre engine making 69 bhp of
peak power and 99 Nm of peak torque in petrol guise or 59 bhp of peak power and
84 Nm of peak torque in CNG form. The Santro also offers first in class
features such as rear AC vents, a big 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and best in class leg space. But all said and
done, considering the fact that this segment is extremely price sensitive,
let's take a look at how the new 2018 Hyundai Santro stacks up against its
competition. For the sake of this price comparison, we have chosen the Santro's
nearest rivals, the Renault Kwid 1-litre, Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the popular
Tata Tiago.

in total! The Renault Kwid 1-litre only gets 2 variants here. The Santro and
the Tiago are the most affordable in the range here with base model prices
